The bank was having only 4 branches until the year 1947 at Tuticorin, Madurai, Sivakasi and Virudhunagar. The bank now has 288 full fledged branches all over India, 9 Regional Offices, 11 Extension Counters, 2 Mobile Banking Branch, 6 Central Processing Centres, 1 Service Branch, 2 Currency Chests and 344 Automated Teller Machines. All the 288 branches are computerised and interconnected.
Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd is looking for Law Officers to be posted all over India, the details are as follows :
Name of the Post : Law Officers
Educational Qualification : Graduation in Law with atleast 50% marks or Law Post Graduates.
Experience : Practicing as an Advocate for a period of not less than 4 years in Civil / DRT cases. OR Persons having work experience in a Bank or Financial Institution for atleast 2 years as an Officer in legal Department will be given preference.
Cadre, Pay and allowances : Selected candidates shall be posted in Scale I cadre and exceptionally good candidates may be considered for higher cadre. (Approx CTC – Manager (Scale II) – Rs. 5,62,000/- p.a. and Assistant Manager (Scale I) – Rs. 4,41,000/- p.a)
In addition, he/she will be eligible for facilities like Gratuity, Pension, Leave Encashment, and Leave Fare Concession for self & dependent family members, Hospitalization Expenses for self & dependent family members, group insurance etc. as applicable under Bank’s rules.
Age Limit : 35 years as on Jun 30, 2012.
Probationary Period : The candidates will be on probation for a period of one year. At the end of the probationary period they will be subjected to an internal screening process to evaluate their performance before being confirmed in service. Probation may also be extended.
Place of Posting : The selected candidates will be posted anywhere in INDIA.
Selection Procedure : The candidates will be called to appear for interview. The Venue, Date and Time for interview will be communicated to the eligible candidates individually.
